SMS setup and troubleshooting guide.

Users need to contact their scheduler to set up/update their pager for SMS messaging.

Setting Up SMS Messaging in Amion:

To set up paging for your staff, you’ll need the SMS gateway domain for each carrier. Your IT team can help provide this information. Below are the instructions and common SMS gateway domains for US carriers.

Steps to Configure SMS Paging:

  1. Access the Work Preferences:
    • For attending schedules, click the Work Preference icon.
    • For resident schedules, click the Block icon.
  2. Edit Staff Contact Info:
    • Open the Infobox window and select the staff member’s name.
    • Click on “Contact info…”.(blue link)
  3. Add Cell Phone and Carrier Info:
    • Select Cell from the drop down menu and enter the phone number.
    • Click the grey pager icon next to the phone number.
    • Choose the provider from the menu. When enabled, the grey pager icon will turn green.

 

Repeat for All Staff:

    • Follow the same steps for each staff member.
    • Publish changes to save in Amion.

Troubleshooting:

  • If your paging system isn’t working: Check for network issues with the carrier.
  • If user changed cell carrier: Scheduler needs to update the carrier info, see step 3.
  • Error Message: Contact Amion support with the error details for assistance.
