This article applies to Amion Next only. Amion Next is the new web-based platform that allows users to manage and view Amion schedule data.
Requesting time off, special requests, and Day-off requests.
Self-Service Requests enable staff to submit their own time-off requests directly within Amion. Within requests, there are multiple ‘time off categories’ to indicate periods when a staff member is unavailable to work, such as vacation, PTO, CME, conferences, or other leave. For this feature to be used, it must be enabled by the scheduler, the staff member must have an email address entered in the schedule, and the staff member must have verified their email address. Additional troubleshooting is listed at the bottom of this guide.
- Log in to your group's schedule at amion.com. On the main toolbar at the top, click on ‘my schedule’.
- From ‘my schedule’, click on the ‘New Request’ button in the top right.
- Select ‘Time-Off’ in the request options. Then choose the away request time, such as PTO. Then set the dates for your request along with an optional note.
- A confirmation of the submission request appears in the bottom left corner. If you don't see the "away" type that you need, such as CME, PTO, etc., please reach out to your scheduler.
- Amion summarizes the pending requests in the my schedule tab in the Request panel on the right. If you still see a time off request or another to do in the panel as shown in step four, you can click the x to the right of ‘Time off request’. This will then exit to show the request summaries as shown below.
- Once submitted, your scheduler will be notified to approve or deny your request. You will be notified of the completed action.
*Note: Some users won’t see a ‘New Request’ button. In these cases, please contact your admin.
- If requests haven’t been enabled by your group’s scheduler, then you won’t be able to leverage this feature.
- Alternatively, if it’s been enabled, but you specifically don’t have the request button, connect with your scheduler to ensure your email address has been added and you have gone through the verification process. The verification process is something that all users will need to complete to fully leverage this feature. See image below.
- If there are Time-Off Categories that are missing from your workflow, please reach out to your group’s scheduler to request that they be added.
