This article applies to Amion Next only. Amion Next is the new web-based platform that allows users to manage and view Amion schedule data.
If a provider wishes to give away a shift but does not have a specific recipient in mind, the Open Pool option can be used. This feature allows providers to release a shift with no exchange expected, making it available for others to view and claim outright.
You can also tag shifts you would like to give or trade away. You and your colleagues can then propose swaps from the trade pool. These instructions demonstrate how to add a shift to the open pool.
- Log in to your group's schedule at amion.com. On the main toolbar at the top, click on ‘my schedule’.
- From ‘my schedule’, select the service that you want to add to the open pool.
- Select ‘Open Pool’ in the ‘View Window’. You can only select shifts from the current date onward.
- A confirmation appears in the bottom left, ‘Shift added to open pool’. When viewing the service, you can also see ‘view in open pool’ now that it is confirmed. As a reminder, you're still responsible for this shift until someone else picks it up.
- If you choose to view them in the open pool, you can see the dates, times, details, and the option to remove the shift(s) from the pool.
Picking Up a Shift
If others have added shifts to the open pool, you can ‘Pick Up’ a shift without a trade. This is a great way to cover shifts in need or work additional hours.
